Public Work
Overview
I was honored to be personally selected by Professor Ingrid Hess to work on the UMass Lowell Signage Project—an initiative focused on telling the rich history and stories of the Indigenous Peoples of Lowell through public design.
This project has been a meaningful opportunity to contribute to socially conscious design while learning directly under Professor Hess’s mentorship. Through her guidance, I gained valuable insight into the behind-the-scenes process of creating impactful public work, from research and storytelling to execution and community engagement. The final product turned into 9 final signs installed throughout the campus.
